Reports can join to only a data source; for example, is not possible to analyse multiple sources simultaneously and produce single output tables, charts or files.
Reports requiring particular viewers or ActiveX force any final user to install addictional software into PC; not all the users have time, skills or grants to to this.
Also, reports via Web not always can provide accurate layouts for prints and cannot be shared or saved easily into PC.
Exporting if often used to manually modify report information before officially presentation (to your boss, to yuor team, ...). Nevertheless exported documents loss layout, sizing, formatting and colors; sometime exports provide simple CSV data, forcing user to re-build manually the whole document!
